Yann is a 29 year old graduate of Harvard University with a B.A. in History and International Relations. A true child of the world, Yann, or Q as he is known to his friends, has experienced life in Thailand, Switzerland, Germany, Yugoslavia, Canada, Belgium, and of course, his home base of Boston, MA. A strong high school athlete in both football and lacrosse, Yann was unable to realize his college athletic aspirations, in a large part due to his own failure to understand the athletic potential that lay untapped within him. After graduation from college he turned his attention to teaching and coaching, first in New Orleans, Louisiana where he served as the Defensive Line coach for the Edna Karr Cougars.

After his return home from New Orleans, Yann briefly entered the corporate world, only to return to the classroom and the sideline, teaching English and serving as the defensive coordinator for Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA. He then moved on to Division 1 upstart, Malden Catholic where he currently coaches both the offensive and defensive lines. Introduced to Renegade through Elite Coach, Marc Hordon, in 2009 Yann became certified in 2010, relishing most of all in Renegade’s functionality, but also in the effect it can have on transforming young athletes physically, intellectually, and philosophically. Yann is excited to join Hordon Lifestyle Management as President of Operations for the Boston Institute of Football and can’t wait to help spread the truth about training, fitness, athletics, and life.

Outside of the coaching and strength and conditioning realm, Yann enjoys writing, currently working on a Renegade inspired manual for football coaches. Yann has also been performing hip hop in the greater Boston area since 2003.
