Amateur Athletes (weekend warriors)
Olympic Goodmorning at Hordon HealthOur specialty at Hordon Health is the competing athlete at every level, but there is no athlete that needs more attention than the amateur athlete. Amateur athletes are plagued with nagging injuries, often sidelining them for significant periods of time, if not for good. This type of athlete however, is one of the hardest competing athletes around; sacrifice of body is a religion. We get it.  We not only keep our weekend warriors healthy but increase their abilities in the specific sport they play on those sacred Saturdays and Sundays. Crush your weekend

"Recently celebrating a massive athletic achievement in my post-athletic years, I took a moment to reach back three years ago and remember that  I never would have thought I would be here now. Competing in an array of both individual and team sports I have risen to a level of athleticism that would kick my butt at age 18. I'm healthy, and I'm dominant in my sports, and I love it."

Elite Exercisers
Professionals that want to optimize their athletic performance as well as lay a foundation for great health for the rest of their lives. This is especially prevalent as they are faced with a more sedentary lifestyle due to the nature of family and profession. Often these athletes compete in Iron Man Competitions, Fitness Competitions, Triathlon, and other general fitness related events.

"I was introduced to Hordon Health and the Renegade Training approach about three years ago.  I had always been an active person but hated going to the gym.  Hordon Health and the methods they use really changed my whole attitude towards working out.  The sessions were fun, exciting and challenging, and for the first time, I started to look forward to training.  I was a pretty serious athlete in high school, and I enjoy skiing, telemarking, golfing and hiking.  Training with Hordon Health made me feel like a real athlete again.  I thought I was in decent shape but after 8 months I dropped about 11% in body fat and several inches off my thighs, waist and actually gained in my arms, which had always been puny.  Not only did I feel great physically, but my new regular work out regimen really helped improve my emotional well being and mood in general.  All of a sudden, I could lift more weight than I ever even imagined, and I didn't look bulky at all!"

"I started as a small, weak, but fast and athletic 10th grader competing in less than mediocre circumstances. What I have become is a well-rounded, functional human being and athlete, although still small, yet now repeating my 11th grade year to compete for one of the most prestigious schools in the world, at one of the highest levels of competition in the Northeast. I am thankful for all that Hordon Health has done for me both physically and socially. I hope to continue to improve myself as a young man under the wing of a great man and coach, Marc Hordon."

"I know my coach is proud of me and knows that I'm trying really hard.  Its means so much to me that they don't laugh at me or undermine me about any of this.  They're always positive and reassuring no matter how hard it is for me. My coach has me working out without pain and that's huge!  Ive waited two years to stop being afraid of working out and here it is!  I have this need to be healthy and get my kids healthy like never before.  Everyone has always pushed me down and told me that I cant do it and I'm ready now to tell them all to go to hell.  I can do this and no one will tell me that i cant anymore. Thank you."

Pre-Natal & Post-Natal - Highly Specialized

The relationship between exercise and pregnancy has been long misunderstood. Maintaining muscle strength and flexibility as well as reinforcing postural muscle is extremely supportive to a healthy pregnancy. Hordon Health focuses on these goals through adaptation to both weight and exertion limitations for Pre and Post Natal clients.

"For the first time, my sporadic gym attendance and irregular work out routine went out the window and I was able to keep a regular training schedule for the first time in almost 5 years.  So after I became pregnant, I felt even luckier that I was starting out in excellent shape and I trusted my coach to lead me through the challenge of staying active and in shape during my pregnancy.  I have continued with stage appropriate workouts 2-3 times a week throughout my entire pregnancy and believe it has helped me stay very fit and healthy throughout the process- and my doctor agrees!  I am days away and still working out, and I am looking forward to getting back to it after the baby arrives."
